WHAT IS YOUR CANCELATION POLICY?

Dog Walks and Pet Sits: If you need to cancel or reschedule a walk, we offer NO-cost options as long as you provide us with at least TWELVE (12) HOURS NOTICE before the scheduled walk. For example, if you have a walk scheduled for 7 AM, kindly get in touch with us by 7 PM on the evening prior to the walk. This consideration enables us to manage our schedule effectively and provide the best service to you and your furry companion. Late cancellations can disrupt our carefully planned schedule and the commitment we have to providing excellent service. Therefore, in cases where unforeseen circumstances lead to a cancellation within twelve hours of a scheduled walk, the walk will be charged at its appropriate rate.

Overnight Pet Sits: NO FEE if cancelled more than 14 days before scheduled services. 50% cancellation fee if cancelled 7 days to 48 hours before scheduled services. 100% cancellation fee if cancelled less than 48 hours before scheduled services.

DO YOU OFFER A REFERRAL DISCOUNT?

Absolutely! We believes the best way to grow our business is through word-of-mouth referrals from happy clients. Here’s how Referral Rewards works: Each time you refer Mindful Pet Care to a new client who schedules services with me, we give YOU a credit for a FREE 30-minute walk. Not a dog person? Don’t worry, we’ll add a credit to your account which can be applied for pet sitting, too! The best news? Referral Rewards are unlimited. Refer as many folks as you’d like and we’ll reward you for them all. Thank you for spreading the word!

WILL THE SAME WALKER COME EVERY VISIT?

Absolutely! I will be the primary Dog Walker and Pet Sitter each visit. At Mindful Pet Care we value the essence of forming a deep bond with your furry friends. Having a consistent and dedicated caregiver ensures your pets receive personalized attention and care. In the rare event of an emergency, a backup walker will take my place. Your pet's comfort and companionship matter, and I'm committed to providing both.

DO YOU WORK IN ALL WEATHER CONDITIONS?

YES! I work in all weather conditions. Rain or Shine. However, I do not walk dogs on really hot days between the hours of 11am-6pm on hot concrete.  We make adjustments to play in the yard instead so they still get the exercise and stimulation they need.

HOW IS PAYMENT HANDLED?

The Time to Pet Portal simplifies the payment process on our website, providing you with various convenient options for settling your invoices. You can choose from multiple payment methods, including credit and debit cards, Venmo, and Apple Pay. To make the process even more convenient, we automatically charge credit cards every Monday. Rest assured, this payment procedure is seamlessly integrated into our scheduling system. Following each transaction, you will receive a confirmation email outlining all the details of the charges.

WHAT KIND OF ANIMALS DO YOU CARE FOR?

I have experience caring for dogs, cats, birds, chickens, fish, rabbits, goats, hamsters, rats, pigs, ferrets, birds and many other species. So long as your pets do not pose a danger, we’d love to meet them.

HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR EACH VISIT?

Before each scheduled visit, please download the "Time to Pet" app for easy communication and access to our portal. Keep your pet and home details up-to-date, including any access codes. Ensure essential supplies like food, cleaning items, and pet accessories are readily available. For overnight visits, provide written feeding schedules and specific instructions. Your cooperation ensures a seamless and caring experience for your pets during our visits.

HOW DO YOU HANDLE ACCESS TO THE RESIDENCE?

Mindful Pet Care strives to keep as few keys as possible in our possession. For that reason, We do not take possession of client keys. We work with clients to find the best ‘keyless’ solution for their home.

Our policy entails the following options:

  • Installation of a lockbox at your residence

  • Usage of a secure, coded garage door entry

  • Utilization of a coded digital door lock

  • Facilitation of key check-out through your building manager or concierge

If you don't currently have a lockbox and are unable to purchase one, we have you covered. You can opt for our lockbox service for a one-time fee of $20. This charge will be conveniently included in your initial invoice. Your security is our priority, and we're dedicated to ensuring a secure experience for you and your pets.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT EACH VISIT?

You'll have ongoing communication throughout the dates you've reserved, so please don't hesitate to reach out at any time! During visits to your home, We'll refer to the information on your Portal to ensure we follow your pets' care routines as per their profiles. When I arrive, I''ll start the timer, stay for the designated duration, and then clock out. Following each visit, you can expect to receive an adorable Report Card containing photos, visit details, and GPS walk maps (if dog walk). Every visit encompasses essential tasks such as feeding, giving attention, providing potty breaks, administering medications and checking the mail, adjusting windows and lighting, watering indoor/porch plants, taking out the trash, and tidying up slightly after your pets. 

WHAT IS YOUR EMERGENCY PROTOCOL?

If your pet becomes ill or injured in our care, I’ll assess your pet’s condition, contact you, and work with you (or your emergency contacts) to create an action plan. If you are unavailable, I’ll follow the instructions in your client portal regarding veterinary care protocols. I will always contact your preferred vet(s) first. If none are listed, or they are unavailable, I’ll default to veterinarians we have strong relationships with. Additionally, I'm Pet First Aid and CPR certified.
